Chat with the Group Sales Team for more information on group visits. I will never go back. The waterpark was so crowded that we couldn't get on any water rides unless we wanted to wait 2 hrs.
I wasn't willing to do that so we ended up staying at the wave pool, which was also overcrowded but the only way to cool off quickly. They advertise it as two wave pools but it isn't.
The other pool is more like a splash pool with fountains in it. The lines for the women's bathroom are outrageously long so don't wait until you "really" have to go because you won't make it in time! They don't have enough family size lockers to support the number of people in the park and the lockers large and small are expensive. There is no system in place to get you from the huge parking lot to the gate so make sure you can take the long walk.
We had to walk back out to our car to secure our things because they ran out of family lockers to rent and when we came back 30 minutes later due to the walk , they told us they didn't have a re-entry line and we had to get in line AGAIN with the rest of the people at the main gates to re-enter the park.
The calibur of people at this park left a lot to be desired. If you are a middle-class family with children and moral character, don't take them here. Most of the women looked like hookers and most of the men like gangsters. People were using foul language everywhere, even though the announcements say they promote a "family atmosphere" and don't tolerate profanity.
Park officials do absolutely nothing about anything. People were also line-jumping and smoking wherever they wanted to. I am a smoker, however, a considerate one. I never smoke in my house, in the car with the kids, or anywhere around kids or people who don't smoke.
It bothered me that people were smoking outside of the designated areas and nobody working at the park was doing or saying anything about it. They were even smoking by the smaller children's rides. I agree with other postings saying the staff are completely indifferent to park guests and act as if they are miserable and irritated and don't want to be bothered by someone as unimportant as a paying guest.
Overall, we spent a lot of money for 7 people, got to ride a couple roller coasters, walked about 10 miles back and forth to our vehicle throughout the day, stood in several lines some the same over and over again for a long time, and that was about it.
Are you kidding me??? Still Traumatized To this day and wrote them A letter that they ignored. Did not respond in any way. The worst park I have ever been to and will never go back. Do not trust the rides or the staff!! The rides are not checked and could break at any time. After the ride malfunction, they did not even look over the ride to be sure it was safe. The staff is heartless and very unprofessional!!!! If I could rate this park a zero I would.
We should have known what we were getting ourselves into the second we pulled into the parking lot. It was overpacked with cars parked on the grass. There were crowds of people everywhere and really ghetto.
Everywhere we went there were visible gang members. They all had tattoos and bullet wounds and stabbing wounds and scars. Absolutely horrible. There was cussing, spitting, screaming and people just acting like uncivilized individuals. Just plain gross. We left the park after 1 hour. Absolute waste of money, a drive and time. Stay far far away. Outstanding-raters upstate ny 22 contributions.
Bad Public Relations-you pay admission and for rides. My 11 year old daughter and I recently visited Dorney Park. Our experience was nothing like those described in previous reviews. The park-The park, divided into two separate sections water, amusement , is large and has a ton of rides. However the surroundings are more similar to a city than a park. It is a very ugly park with rides or slides surrounded by only concrete- they maximized space for food concession stands and arcades-so that they can entice you to spend above and beyond the outrageous admission price-at the expense of aesthetics..
Unlike Busch Gardens or even Hershey, there is nothing quaint or pleasing about being in the amusement park except going on the rides. It is an ugly place. The rides-There are lots of extreme rides and there are a fair number of rides suitable for kids aged Children older than 4 but not interested in extreme thrill rides or extreme roller coasters will find little to do that is covered by the admission price.
There is one smaller roller coaster, a tiny bumper car experience and swan boats on a pond filled with algae and apparently stagnant water.
